We had thought that producing some matter on Napa Wine would be an impossibility. However, once we started, there was no turning back.

Ch Croix de Labrie - St. Emilion
"There are only 9,000 bottles of the big, blockbuster 2000. This dry red wine from France boasts superb purity along with the essence of cassis and black cherry liqueur-like fruit intermixed with graphite and new oak notes. Sweet, layered, and luxuriously rich, with a wealth of fruit and glycerin, this stunning Saint Emilion should be drinkable young, yet age nicely for 15+ years. This Chateau is the ultimate garage wine, or as the French call it, vin de salon, since the five-barrel production is kept in proprietor Puzio's living room! This is great stuff, but nearly impossible to find. Does anybody out there have some to sell?" RP-94 (Subject to Availability) CRDL00 CRDL00

Ch Cantelaudette Graves de Vayres
We managed to acquire limited amounts this ever popular and delicious dry white from the Graves De Vayres area of Bordeaux, France. Clean, crisp and refreshingly dry, the Cantelaudette represents a terrific value. It is stylized much like a white Bordeaux with crisp Sauvignon blanc flavors and excellent balance. GDV03 GDV03

Ch Ducru-Beaucaillou
"I tasted the 1996 Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou on four separate occasions from bottle in January. The 1996 is long, with a deep mid-palate. It also reveals tannin in the finish. This dry red wine is remarkable. It is muscular, concentrated, and classic. Bottled in late June, 1998, this French wine exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a knock-out nose of minerals, licorice, cassis, and an unmistakable lead pencil smell that I often associate with top vintages of Lafite-Rothschild. It is sweet and full-bodied, yet unbelievably rich with no sense of heaviness or flabbiness. The wine possesses high tannin, but it is extremely ripe, and the sweetness of the black currant, spice-tinged Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is pronounced. This profound, backward Ducru-Beaucaillou is a must purchase. It will be fascinating for readers who own the 1996 to follow the evolution of this exceptional vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2035." RP - 95 (Subject to Availability) DUCR96 DUCR96
